MARTA Schedule For SEC Championship Game and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas Parade

Holiday cheer and football fun are in the air, and MARTA is your safe, convenient way to festivities this Saturday! For only $2.50 each way (plus a $1 charge to purchase a Breeze card), MARTA is an easier and more affordable way to travel to the SEC Football Championship downtown and the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas Parade in Midtown.
The Christmas Parade will be accessible via Arts Center and Midtown Stations on the Red and Gold Lines. To reach the SEC Fanfare event at the Georgia World Congress Center and the SEC Football Championship at the Georgia Dome, take the Blue or Green Lines to Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center Station.
On Saturday, Dec. 7th, MARTA will run a Saturday service schedule for bus and rail. Trains on the Red and Gold Lines will run all the way from North Springs and Doraville Stations south to Airport Station.
On the Red and Gold Lines, trains will run every 20 minutes, with service every 10 minutes between Lindbergh Center and Airport Stations until noon. After noon, Red and Gold Line trains will run every 15 minutes, with trains running every 7½ minutes between Lindbergh Center and Airport Stations.
Trains on the Blue and Green Lines will run every 20 minutes, with extra train service as needed in order to move customers to and from the Georgia Dome in the afternoon and evening. Green Line trains will run from Bankhead to Ashby Stations.
To accommodate the Christmas parade, Bus Routes 27, 36, 37, 99 and 110 will be rerouted from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Customers are encouraged to purchase a roundtrip fare at the start of their trip to avoid long lines on the return. Remember, one Breeze card per person, and riders must tap to enter and exit stations.
Parking for less than 24 hours is free at all MARTA’s daily parking facilities. Customers parking in the decks at Lindbergh Center Station must park in MARTA designated areas and validate their parking ticket at machines inside Lindbergh Center Station in order to receive free daily parking. Please note that MARTA has some designated lots which charge a fee.
