Young, King III’s Atlanta-Based Bounce TV Launches in St. Louis

    Bounce TV, the Atlanta-based television network founded by Martin Luther King III and former U.S. Ambassador Andrew Young announced Tuesday that it has officially launched in St. Louis.

    According to reps from the network, Bounce TV is the nation’s fastest-growing broadcast network targeting African-Americans. As of 12 a.m. it is being broadcast on digital channel 5.2 and is also available on Charter Cable channel 87 in the arch city.

    Bounce TV targets African Americans primarily between the ages of 25-54 with a programming mix of theatrical motion pictures, live sports, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-net series, original series and more.

    Launched in 2011, Bounce TV is already available in 80 percent of African American households and 65 million homes nationally, the network said. Bounce TV airs 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the digital signals of local television stations. Martin Luther King III and Ambassador Andrew Young are among the Founding Group and Board of Directors of Bounce TV. Bounce TV is majority African American-owned. Toyota USA is the signature sponsor of the network.
