The National Basketball Association today released its 2013-14 season schedule and announced the Atlanta Hawks will open the season on Wednesday, Oct. 30th at Dallas before returning to Atlanta for its home opener on Friday, Nov. 1 against Toronto at Philips Arena.

Every Hawks game will be aired live on the Hawks radio flagship, SportsRadio 92.9 The Game, with The Voice of the Hawks Steve Holman calling the action. The Hawks’ local TV schedule will be released at a later date. The Hawks will appear on at least six national broadcasts: ESPN will televise three games (Nov. 13 vs New York, March 5 at Portland and April 16 at Milwaukee) and NBA TV will also air three (Jan. 16 versus Brooklyn in London as part of NBA Global Games London 2014, Feb. 22 versus New York and March 15 versus Denver).

The 82-game schedule consists of 41 home and 41 road games. The Hawks will face each Eastern Conference opponent four times (twice at Philips Arena and twice on the road) with the exception of Brooklyn (one home in London, two road), Cleveland (two home, one road), Milwaukee (one home, two road) and Philadelphia (two home, one road). Each Western Conference opponent will play the Hawks twice, once at Philips Arena and once on the road.

The Hawks will host a season-high four consecutive home games (Dec. 4-13) and seven-of-eight (Dec. 4-20) at Philips Arena in December, including visits from the Los Angeles Clippers (Dec. 4), Oklahoma City (Dec. 10) and the Los Angeles Lakers (Dec. 16).

This year’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday game is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 20 against the two-time defending NBA Champion Miami Heat at 5:30 p.m. Four days later on Friday, Jan. 24, the Western Conference Champions, the San Antonio Spurs, visit Atlanta.

With the exception of the Nov. 13 game against New York on ESPN, the Jan. 16 against Brooklyn (in London) and the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday game against Miami on Jan. 20, all Hawks home games will start at 7:30 p.m.
