Office of Workforce Development to Help Hire 250 New Employees For Cascade Wal-Mart

With a new Wal-Mart expected to open in Cascade this fall, the big box retailer is getting some help from Fulton County’s Office of Workforce Development to find new staff. Beginning Monday the Fulton County Housing and Human Services, Office of Workforce Development will conduct onsite recruitment to help Wal-Mart to hire at least 250 retail employees.

Job seekers can apply for the Cascade Wal-Mart positions by visiting the Wal-Mart employment website and looking for store 3741. Applicants that do not have internet access can visit the Adamsville Workforce Development Center at 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. SW and apply online with the assistance of Workforce Development and Wal-Mart staff.

Applicants can visit Adamsville Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., and Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. It will take at least two hours to complete the online application process.

Citizens with experience in retail or those who would like to take advantage of customer service training in order to be considered for employment must register at the Adamsville Office. Workforce Development will conduct background checks and drug tests of applicants. Those who register will be required to participate in customer service training in order to receive a recommendation for hiring.

Once the Cascade Wal-Mart opens at 1105 Research Center Drive in Atlanta, GA 30331, at least 300 employees are expected to be on the payroll.
