Bishop William Henry Murphy, a popular Atlanta bishop at the dReam Center Church, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly taking a gun to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

The church leader was going through security when a TSA X-RAY operator discovered a 9mm handgun in his carry-on luggage, says a warrant from the Clayton County Police Department.

Murphy has been charged with misdemeanor possession of a weapon in an unauthorized area. If convicted, it could cost him up to $7,500 in penalties. His bond has been set at $2,500.

Along with being the leader of a congregation, Murphy is well known in the gospel community with hit songs like “You Reign” and “Praise is What I Do.”
