Sandy Springs Coach and Former NFL Player Jailed for Public Indecency

Mount Vernon Presbyterian School’s head football coach was arrested on Jan. 29 for public indecency.

Cobb County police spokesman Officer Mike Bowman said Reginald Burnette was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to an adult female in an east Cobb Subdivision.

Burnette, who played three years in the NFL for Green Bay and Tampa Bay and was an All-American at the University of Houston, is out of jail on $1,000 bond.

Mount Vernon Presbyterian spokeswoman Allison Toller said the school placed Burnette on indefinite leave until his case is adjudicated.

The Sandy Springs school headmaster Brett Jacobsen informed parents of the alleged incident– that did not involve any school students or employees– via letter.
