The City of Atlanta will open its outdoor community pools for residents and visitors Memorial Day weekend beginning on Saturday, May 25, 2013.

“Each year, the City of Atlanta kicks off its outdoor pool season during the Memorial Day weekend, and we are excited to offer another great season of outdoor water activities to help the kids in Atlanta beat the heat while being active and enjoying the great outdoors,” said George Dusenbury, Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs. “Providing access to pools and Spraygrounds is part of Mayor Reed’s emphasis on providing positive activities and experiences for our youth.”
Daily rates for outdoor community pools are $4 for adults and $2 for children and senior citizens. Children under 5 years of age are free.

Atlanta City Councilmember Carla Smith will host her annual Grant Park Pool Party from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on the Monday, May 27. Atlanta residents and visitors will enjoy live music, food and pool games. Standard fees apply.
