'Man of the Year' Candidates Oppose Guns on Campus Legislation

CAU Man of the Year Contestants 2013-2014

Clark Atlanta University “Man of the Year” candidates have created a public service announcement opposing State legislation that would allow students with licenses to carry their guns on campus. The bill, which stalled in committee this session, is considered likely to resurface next year. Please view the PSA here: https://youtu.be/mvbwSTcqye0

The “Man of the Year,” scholarship competition and pageant showcases some of CAU’s top male students and role models. In light of recent campus shootings, the students have embraced The Campaign to Keep Guns off Campus.

The competition, which also shines a spotlight on the importance of black male enrollment and retention at CAU, will be held April 29, at 7 p.m. in the Henderson Student Center. Tickets will be $5 in advance and $7 at the door.
