Jasmine Hoffman has been awarded the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Georgia Chapter’s Champion award in recognition of her outstanding volunteer work.

The award recognizes a member who has significantly contributed to the chapter’s success and is given monthly or when appropriate. Hoffman was presented with a certificate and inscribed pen at the chapter’s monthly meeting recently.

“I’ve been a PRSA member for more than eight years, and I can tell you that it has been the single most valuable resource for networking and professional development in my career,” Hoffman said.

Hoffman is the director of communications for Emory University’s School of Nursing, where she leads external and internal communications for the top-ranked nursing school in Georgia. Prior to joining Emory, she was the public relations manager for the University of Pittsburgh’s $2 billion fundraising campaign. She earned a B.A. in public relations from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and received her APR (Accredited in Public Relations designation) in 2010.

Hoffman has participated on the Real World PR Speaker Recruitment Team for the past three years and is serving as the team leader this year. Previously, she served on the Awards Celebration-Silent Auction Committee and as an APR instructor for the University of Georgia’s entry-level accreditation program.
