Facebook Users Not the Only Ones Changing Their Profile Pages

Facebook is changing the look of its profile page by modifying the design it calls Timeline, which is currently a two-column layout that was first introduced in 2011.

The change will boast the return of a single-column layout for posts, photos and other updates as well as a smaller left-hand “About” column with information about a person.

Facebook is giving users more customizing abilities with the information they chose to display about themselves.
Earlier this year, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the social network had three “pillars” which are the News Feed, Timeline and Graph Search.

The News Feed is the centralized stream of updates from friends and brands.

Timeline is the profile page.

Graph Search, which was significantly improved earlier this year, should become more useful now and helps users search amongst friends based on their interests.

Additionally, the change to Timeline is geared towards more posts about movies, music and books users enjoy.
Design changes will come in the next few weeks.
