Former Los Angeles police officer and Navy reservist Christopher Dorner made headlines after allegedly killing two civilians and a police officer on Sunday. But things got really interesting after Dorner released an angry manifesto geared towards the Los Angeles Police Department.

The manifesto gave warning of coming violence toward cops. Dorner also explained how a “racist and brutal” LAPD had framed him after he reported an officer for excessive force. Dorner said that incident left him no alternative but to engage in “asymmetrical” warfare.

He begins the manifesto writing:

“I know most of you who personally know me are in disbelief to hear from media reports that I am suspected of committing such horrendous murders and have taken drastic and shocking actions in the last couple of days. You are saying to yourself that this is completely out of character of the man you knew who always wore a smile wherever he was seen. I know I will be vilified by the LAPD and the media. Unfortunately, this is a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD and reclaim my name.”

In response, the LAPD has begun an all-out manhunt for Dorner and today opened fire on a vehicle that was similar to his, but not the same color, and killed two unarmed Latina women who were delivering newspapers. Reports from CNN say that none of the officers involved in that shooting have been put on leave.

In the manifesto, Dorner goes on to say that the LAPD hasn’t changed since the Rodney King beating. In fact, many of the same individuals who were responsible for the Rodney King beating are still on the force.

“This department has not changed from the Daryl Gates and Mark Fuhrman days,” Dorner wrote. “Those officers are still employed and have all promoted to Command staff and supervisory positions.”

Dorner criticized white racists within the LAPD ranks as well as minorities. He expresses issue with Hispanics who abuse their own people, Asians who do not interject as people are abused because they “don’t like conflict” and blacks who are in their divisions in order to get payback on white officers. He says that blacks are continuing racism within the ranks by not standing up for other black people.

He expressed anger towards people disrespecting President Obama, police lying to citizens and disregard for the deceased.

Dorner published the mainfesto online and he threatened at least 12 people by name, along with their families.
“Your lack of ethics and conspiring to wrong a just individual are over,” Dorner wrote in his manifesto.

“Suppressing the truth will lead to deadly consequences for you and your family.”

Dorner worked for the LAPD from 2005 to 2008.

In his manifesto, Dorner also claimed that he would use his knowledge of police tactics to wage “unconventional warfare to those in the LAPD uniform whether on or off duty.”

Dorner wrote that he has a list of all LAPD undercover vehicles as well as extensive knowledge of procedures for hunting down suspects. This raised concerns for police that Dorner could possibly use both to avoid capture and continue his violence against law enforcement.

Dorner allegedly began his killing spree over the weekend. Monica Quan, 28, and her fiancé, Keith Lawrence, 27, were found dead in their car in Irvine, Calif., Sunday.

Police say Dorner had a grudge against Quan’s father, retired LAPD Capt. Randy Quan, for his firing from the department. The deaths launched a manhunt for Dorner as police discovered his online manifesto.

At the end of the manifesto, Dorner alerts police that he is well armed, expertly trained, and has nothing to lose.

He ended by saying, “ISR is my strength and your weakness. You will now live the life of the prey. Your RD’s and homes away from work will be my AO and battle space. I will utilize every tool within INT collections that I learned from NMITC in Dam Neck. You have misjudged a sleeping giant.”

Dorner was awarded a Rifle Marksman Ribbon and Pistol Expert Medal. He received superior scores when he tested at the range.

As predicted in his manifesto, police have not located Dorner.
