Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus will be in Atlanta Thursday for what the Committee has termed “an African-American engagement and listening session with African-American small business owners and community leaders from across Georgia.”

Priebus will meet with Black community and business leaders with a special emphasis on how the Republican party can more effectively appeal to minority voters.

“The listening session is one in a series of meetings held by the Republican National Committee as part of the Growth and Opportunity Project to gather input from different communities across the country to help grow and renew the GOP,” according to a statement released by GOP Communications.

The meeting will also include Hall County Commissioner Ashley Bell.

RNC spokesman Ryan Mahoney confirmed to The Hill on Wednesday that Priebus will meet with Black leaders from across the state.

Mahoney added that Thursday’s event is one of many such meetings Priebus will conduct nationwide in the coming months.

The meeting in Atlanta is closed to the public, but Priebus will be available to media at 3:10 p.m. at the Georgia Pacific Building, Suite 4900, 133 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30303, according to GOP Communications.
