Clark Atlanta University guard Dwayne Bingham scored a season-high 23 points in the Panthers 85-62 loss to Benedict College at Epps Gymnasium Monday.

The Panthers did not have answer for the Tigers who came into today’s match-up second in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s (SIAC) East Division.

It was all Benedict from the start as the Tigers opened a 39-28 half-time lead capped by Xavier Collier’s 10 points. Bingham, who pulled down a game-high seven rebounds, was 9-of-16 from the floor and perfect from the free throw line on three attempts while junior guard Jarrel Joye chipped in 13 points and five assists. For the Tigers, Tydran Beaty led the team with 17 points followed by Collier’s 15.

Next, the Panthers (2-14, SIAC 1-7), winners of only one of their last 10 games, will travel to Albany State Thursday, before the AUC showdown with Morehouse Saturday, Feb. 2, at 6 p.m., in Forbes Arena on the campus of Morehouse College.
