With a team-high 19 points, junior Conisha Hicks led the Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers to a 69-54 conference win over LeMoyne Owen College at Epps Gymnasium Thursday.
The Lady Panthers (4-6, 1-0) took a 33-25 lead into halftime and pulled away from the Lady Magicians in the second period. Junior Erika Sumpter recorded her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds while Jomanda Smalls poured in 12 points off the bench.
In the second of the three consecutive home games, CAU will host Lane College Saturday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m.
