Celebrating 30 years, the Atlanta Regional Minority Enterprise Development Week held August 1 at AT&T .Midtown Office focused on the theme "Job Creation in America: Build It Here. Sell it Everywhere".
Workshops were held on global marketing and job creation with Business Smmit presentations by speakers Mark Wilson, E-Verified; Lavon Lewis, Pencilworx Design Group ( PDG); Ralph Brown, Trillion Communications; Robert McNeil, President Images USA; Donald Nay, Director of U.S. Export Assistance Center;Tony Green, Project Manager, Georgia Department of Economic Development Global Commerce; Peggy Duncan, The Digital Breakthroughs Institute; and Carla Byrd, City of Savannah Purchasing Director.
Participants had a full day of interacting with suppliers and purchasing directors for corporations and government entities along with a luncheon honoring outstanding small business owners in the Southeast region.. MBD Success stories were presented for Sarah Lattimer, President, Lattimer Communications, Inc. and Barry Bennett, President, Metals & Materials Engineers. Judith Martinez Sadri, Anchor, Telemundo Atlanta was the mistress of ceremonies.
