Robert Woolridge Named Marriott Resort Manager

    Marriott Hotels & Resorts has named Robert Woolridge as General Manager of the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort, an AAA Four Diamond resort located 16 miles from downtown Atlanta on 3,200 acres of Stone Mountain Park.

    Woolridge most recently served as General Manager of the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway hotel where he and his team have been recognized for outstanding work. Woolridge is the recipient of the Marriott Leadership Excellence Award for achievement in opening the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway in August 2010.

    During his 25 years with Marriott, Woolridge has held a variety of leadership positions including Area General Manager for the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center, Atlanta Marriott Century Center, and Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown as well as management positions with Marriott Hotels & Resorts in Philadelphia and Long Island.

    Woolridge is also active in local and national community organizations, serving as the immediate past Chairman of The Georgia Hospitality and Lodging Association Board of Directors, the American Hotel and Lodging Association Board of Directors, the College Park Destination Marketing Organization and the Board of Directors for the Center for Working Families. Woolridge is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Amherst.
