Posters In Sweden Feature Rihanna’s Battered Face To Protest Chris Brown Concert [PHOTO]

In a sensationalist ploy to halt singer Chris Brown from performing in their city on November 19, posters have been popping up all over Stockholm, Sweden emblazoned with photos of Rihanna’s viciously battered face in high definition, reports The Hollywood Gossip.

*NewsOne will not be publishing the poster, but if you are so inclined, click here.

Brown abused then (and possibly, now) girlfriend Rihanna in a highly publicized incident in 2009 that almost derailed his career.  He was persona non grata in the music business, but fortunately for him, celebrity misdeeds are quickly forgiven and he was able to use the incident to shape his new bad-boy image.

As previously reported by NewsOne, Rihanna had spent the last year ducking and dodging rumors that she and her ex-flame were reconciling, even as their public shows of affection increased. It wasn’t until the “Diamonds” singer appeared on “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” that she revealed that she didn’t blame him for assaulting her and was more concerned about him than herself:

“I felt protective,” she admits. “I felt like, ‘The only person they hate right now is him.’ It was a weird, confusing space to be in. Because as angry as I was, as angry and hurt and betrayed, I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help, and who’s going to help him? Nobody’s going to say he needs help. Everybody’s going to say he’s a monster without looking at the source, and I was more concerned about him.”

Brown has since dumped girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, to continue his “friendship” with Rihanna, and they have a single coming out aptly titled, “Nobody’s Business.” Lyrics include the following:

“Me and you/ Said ain’t no nobody’s business,” croons Brown, then Rihanna adds, “I want to be your baby/ You’ll always be my baby/ And sing it to the world/Baby give me some/I’m gonna be your girl/And it ain’t nobody’s business.”

In an interview on Facebook Live, Rihanna explained the rationale behind the controversial track:

“‘Nobody’s Business’ is basically the way I look at everything regarding my personal life.

“You know, even though you have to witness it as being documented at every second, it still is mine… this is mine at this point.

“When it gets to my music and stuff like that, I will give and I’ll give and I’ll give, and I feel like I just need to keep a little bit for me that I get to decide.”

And decide she obviously has.

Maybe someone should explain that to the good people in Sweden who are obviously more upset than she is at the moment.
