Jekyll Island Seafood Company Opens at Hartsfield-Jackson International

Global Concessions, Inc., the company that introduced Atlanta favorites One Flew South and Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint, has opened its newest concept restaurant, Jekyll Island Seafood Company in the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The restaurant, which is the result of a nuptial goal between Global Concessions, Inc., the Jekyll Island Authority, Jekyll Island Foundation and the Georgia Department of Economic Development, is a new opportunity for Georgia to grow its international presence while preserving its history.

It will bring the coast to Atlanta, satisfying maritime palates with dishes like the Shrimp & Grits and the Jekyll Island Platter (fried shrimp, crawfish, crab cake, catch of the day, seasoned French fries).

The Jekyll Island Seafood Company’s menu is inspired by the native coastal lifestyle and fare as well as popular island recipes from local notable chefs. Every shrimp dish including the Chilled Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail (jumbo poached Jekyll Island shrimp, citron cocktail sauce) and the Warm Seafood Salad (baby spinach, bay scallops, Jekyll Island shrimp, blue crab sautéed in lime caper butter, toasted almonds) will use Georgia Wild Shrimp. The shrimp will be caught off the coast of Jekyll Island and delivered three times per week by Tim Stubbs, a local Jekyll Island shrimp distributor.
