Hawks Fall to Pacers, Drop to 1-3 in Preseason

So far the preseason is not going as well as the new look Atlanta Hawks would like. The team lost 102-98 to the Indiana Pacers on the road last night and now sit at 1-3 in preseason play.

In the Hawks defense, neither Al Horford, Josh Smith or newly acquired defensive stopper DeShawn Stevenson saw any action in the game. They did get some contributions from Lithonia native Lou Williams, who led the team in scoring with 18 points off the bench.

Fellow newcomer Devin Harris got the start and put up 11 points, five rebounds and three assists in just 22 minutes of play. It was Harris’s first start of the season after sitting for the first three games with a knee issue. Harris was a part of the July 11 trade that sent Marvin Williams to the Utah Jazz.

The Hawks have given up 100 points in each of their three preseason losses.

The team comes home to play against the New Orleans Hornets tonight in a 7:30 p.m. game at Phillips Arena.
