Heading into their bye week, the Atlanta Falcons are right where they want to be – at the top of the NFC South and at the top of the NFL.

After Green Bay pounded previously unbeaten Houston last night, the Falcons (6-0) become the only undefeated team in the league.

Kicker Matt Bryant preserved the Falcons unblemished status with a 55-yard field goal with one second to play to beat the Oakland Raiders 23-20 yesterday. It capped another dramatic comeback in the Georgia Dome.

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who threw three interceptions in the first half, once again cemented his status as a late-game playmaker, leading the team to the game-winning field goal. The fifth-year quarterback put together similar heroics just two weeks ago against the Carolina Panthers.

On Sunday, the Falcons’ offense took over on their 20 yard line with just 40 seconds to play. Ryan hit consecutive dump-off passes to Jacquizz Rodgers, before connecting with Tony Gonzalez to setup Bryant’s winning field goal.
