Who’s Who Publishing Sadly announces the Loss of Associate Publisher Wayne K. Brown

Columbus, Ohio – It is with great sadness that Who’s Who Publishing announces the passing of Wayne K. Brown. After a battle with cancer. Brown passed away October 6, 2012, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Brown has been an integral part of the Who’s Who family since 2009 when he came on board as a senior partner. Since then he has served as associate publisher for the second edition of Who’s Who In Black Charlotte® and Who’s Who In Black Atlanta®. His market experience and expertise has greatly enhanced the company and helped to expand the Who’s Who brand. In addition to his work with Who’s Who, Brown founded and managed his own company, WKB Enterprises, LLC.

With more than 30 years of broadcasting and marketing experience, Brown was a remarkable figure in the radio and media industry. His 13 years at CBS headquarters in New York City working at CBS Network TV and CBS Radio launched his illustrious broadcasting career. After managing three radio stations in Charlotte, North Carolina, he started as regional vice president and general manager of Radio One, Inc. for their Charlotte and Atlanta markets. Wayne is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications and was very proud of the Wayne K. Brown Scholarship established for minority students in the communications industry.
