Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehab Elects New Board Officers

The board of directors of the Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehabilitation Center has elected new officers. Now serving as Board Chair is Samuel W. Bacote III, who succeeded Alton Myers, CPA. Bacote is a former investment banker and current Chairman/CEO of the Fulton Atlanta Land Bank Authority. He has served on the board of the award-winning, 206-bed, nonprofit, skilled nursing facility since 2002. “We look forward to a bright future for this venerable organization which is celebrating 65 years of service to our community,” he said.

Re-elected as Vice President was Nova Jane McCombs, RN (retired). Serving as the new Secretary of the board is Marla V. Jones, a professional marketing and business development specialist and owner of the STIRR Agency. Re-elected as Treasurer was Pete Hayley, Executive Director of the University Community Development Corporation. Leroy R. Johnson, former Georgia State Senator and founder of the law firm, Leroy Johnson & Associates, PC, will again serve as Parliamentarian. Charles Robinson, Jr. continues as President & CEO of the Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehabilitation Center, which was named to the “Best Nursing Homes 2012” list by the U.S. News & World Report earlier this year.
