Participants celebrate the more than 3,000 people and 100 chefs, cooks, caterers and restauranteurs who packed the Georgia World Congress Center for the 23rd annual Real Men Cook For Charity benefitting Ian Weeks, Cartel Catering and his Hearts of Steel Foundation and Real Men Charities on Father’s Day, June 17. Gary Vause, Real Men Cook Judging Committee; Guest Host Sam Crenshaw, Sports Anchor WXIA TV 11; John Newland, Marcus Baker and Jan David Baker, California BBQ Catering first place professional category entree for broccoli casserole; Nicolas Sotolongo, first place amateur for dessert, moist carrot cake and tipsy rum cake; Craig Reese, Cateriffic, first place professional appetizer Teriyak Shrimp Cocktail; Barake Mulefu, Our Daily Bread, amateurs appetizer, Callalou Caribbean Soup; Chef Keith Kash, Who’s Got Soul Cafe, professional category dessert, bannana pudding and Kevin Ashford, Real Men Cook Atlanta Spokesman. Missing from the photo is winner of the professional entrée: Chef Hopeton Hibbert, Cous Cous Salad w/ Chilled Seafood.

National syndicated radio host Michael Baisden was there signing his latest book Maintenance Man II along with Congressman John Lewis serving his barbecue chicken , Roger Bobb of Bobbcat studios and his lemon pepper chicken and the rave this year was Stepp Stewart of the Dr. Oz show serving up cotton candy, freshly popped popcorn and sno balls. Tommy Ford of the Martin Show stopped by along with Guest Cohosts Erin Coleman and Tom Jones of WSB TV 2. In photo from left:
