Comedian Wallace To Honor Bishop Dr. Barbara King On Her 81st Birthday

Bishop Dr. Barbara Lewis King, renowned spiritual leader, will be celebrating her 81st birthday with comedian and entertainer George Wallace. The affair will be a magnificent evening of live jazz performances, fabulous fare, celebrity appearances and – by request of the Bishop – dancing!  Fresh from The World Culture Festival held at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany, along with His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Bishop King is finding time to relax and enjoy her birthday with her closest friends. “I am excited to celebrate such an occasion with those whom I love!”

Bishop Dr. Barbara Lewis King is founder minister of Hillside International Chapel and Truth Center Inc., one of the largest New Thought Movement Churches in the world. Among numerous “firsts” throughout Bishop King’s remarkable life: Recently, she was the first consecrated Bishop within the International New Thought Christian movement and the first female chief enstooled at Assin Nsuta, Ghana, West Africa. Spiritual leaders, celebrities, national and international dignitaries throughout the world that have been touched by Bishop King’s ministry have been invited and are expected to attend to show reverence for her great life’s work. The guest list includes Dr. Maya Angelou, Rev. Della Reese-Lett, Susan Taylor,  C.T. Vivian, and Iyanla Vanzant just to name a few of the hundreds that she considers close friends.

George Wallace, known as the new “Mr. Las Vegas,” will be making a special trip to Atlanta and is bringing with him John Gray, a Christian comedian and a host of others to perform a special extended set for the occasion.

The Godfather of Comedy leaped at the chance to honor Bishop King between headlining packed theaters throughout Las Vegas, “I’m excited to come back to Atlanta to participate in a spiritually-centered event to honor the great Bishop Dr. Barbara King,” Wallace enthusiastically stated.
