‘Back to School Jam’ At Greenbriar

Popular artist Jacob Latimore performed here on stage at “Back to School Jam” at Greenbriar Mall Saturday, July 30, to a packed audience on the Burlington stage.

The 14-year-old Crown World Entertainment/Jive Records recording star showed off his vocal talent that spans far beyond his years. He  is living proof that age is just a number when it comes to performing.

The young Atlanta teen with the   seasoned voice considers the stage his second home.

“I love performing — this is what I do.  I am not forced to do this; I do it because I love it.” The event, which attracted a crowd of youngsters and parents, was sponsored by WalMart, City Councilwoman Keisha Bottoms, Greenbriar Mall, Everest College, and others.

Jacob has been surrounded by music since birth. His father and uncles make up the inspirational quartet The Latimore Brothers.  By the time the singer/dancer turned 9, the Milwaukee native knew he wanted to pursue a career in the music business. Developing a serious discipline for the art of dance, young Jacob studied and emulated the choreography of The Temptations and boy band group B2K. He also was the celebrity guest at the Metro PCS store in Duluth on Wednesday, Aug. 3.
