Roundtable Talk Precedes Rights Games At Turner

On Friday May 13 a roundtable discussion presented by Georgia Power about baseball and the Civil Rights Movement will be held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church on Auburn Avenue at 3 p.m.

Also, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta invites you to The Civil Rights Games at Turner Field between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15. On May 14 there will be a post-game concert featuring Atlanta’s own Grammy Award-winning rap artist and actor Ludacris. Sunday, May 15, will feature a pre-game performance by Marvin Sapp and an on-field presentation for the Beacon Award winners, including Morgan Freeman, Carlos Santana and Ernie Banks. Come out and enjoy a fun filled weekend for family and friends and honor our civil rights legends and the legacy with the Urban League of Greater Atlanta  at the Civil Rights Games.
