Come experience the exquisite “art of fashion” on the runway featuring fashions from the collection of celebrity couture designer, and 2011 Fine Art + Fashion honoree, CD Greene. This event will take place on Thursday, March 17, at Neiman Marcus at Lenox Square.
Fine Art + Fashion is a fundraising benefit that provides critical support to NBAF’s visual arts programs including the fine art marketplace, related public programs, and marketing support of major exhibitions. This year, NBAF is proud to welcome Neiman Marcus as the 2011 title sponsor. Neiman Marcus continues to set the bar, with an emphasis on charitable support in the community, through its innovative designers and quality collections.
This year’s honoree, CD Greene, is one of today’s hottest fashion designers of couture style with collections that have been worn by Oprah, Tina Turner, Destiny’s Child, Bette Midler, Jessica Simpson, Mariah Carey. In addition, Greene’s fashions were highlighted in the summer blockbuster hit, “Sex & the City.” Fine Art + Fashion will also honor internationally acclaimed visual artist Radcliffe Bailey; author, poet and visual artist Danny Simmons; and designer Jada Loveless. Award-winning author, comedian, and radio and television personality Steve Harvey serves as master of ceremonies and co-chair.
During the program, NBAF will also present the M. Jack Anderson Emerging Talent Award to a promising young designer whose work has been distinguished as cutting edge, creative and innovative in design. The M. Jack Anderson Emerging Talent Award was established in honor of the late M. Jack Anderson, brother of noted philanthropist and Fine Art + Fashion chair, Sandra Anderson Baccus. The award recognizes individuals who have excelled academically, mastered their field of study and possess leadership qualities in their personal and professional aspirations. NBAF invites you to join us and over 500 of Atlanta’s fashion, business, and social notables at the 2011 Fine Art + Fashion event as we recognize, celebrate and honor some of the most fashionable, enterprising and creative artists of today and tomorrow.
